Documentary-style genre that shows (allegedly) authentic scenes of violence, death, accidents, and customs of other cultures that seem strange to the Western world. The name "Mondo" is derived from the film "Mondo Cane" (1962), which is considered one of the first representatives of this genre. The films are indexed in many countries due to their explicit depictions.
