Director Shane Meadows' film about young friendship being tested in Nottingham. Eccentric loner Morrell (Paddy Considine) befriends Romeo and Gavin, two young boys, in order to get closer to Romeo's sister. When she rejects his advances, Morrell's behaviour becomes increasingly more violent and erratic, which leads to him taking out his frustrations out on the boys and their families.
