The documentary, which was filmed from 1974 to 1985 and lasts about 9 hours, features eyewitnesses of the Holocaust, including victims and perpetrators. Director Claude Lanzmann completely dispenses with archive images, and the concentration camps are shown as they looked at the time of filming.
