Three different directors tell the intertwining stories of different groups of people all travelling together on a train to Rome. There is an elderly professor, trying to work on the packed train, an old woman travelling to her husband's funeral with a convict on community service in tow, and a group of three Glaswegians on their way to watch Celtic play in the Olympic Stadium.
