Touted as a “film of the nation” and “popularly valuable” on the film poster, Kolberg was released in 1945 at the end of the Second World War. The film tells the story of the rebellion of the town of Kolberg against Napoleon's troops in the 19th century. This movie may only be shown in Germany with the permission of the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation.
