Woody Allen's play is successfully brought to the screen by Woody himself in the starring role. He portrays Allan Felix, an insecure film buff haunted by a Humphrey Bogart alter ego who holds his lack of masculinity in contempt and urges him to act decisively--even with the wife of his best friend (Diane Keaton).
