In 1978, a serial child abductor is on the loose in a suburb of Denver. Finney and his younger sister Gwen, however, are more concerned with their tyrannical father and school bullies. But then Finney himself is kidnapped. His only hope is a black phone with which he can contact the perpetrator's dead former victims.
