A time-traveling agent attempts to disarm the "Fizzle Bomber" active in New York in the 1970s. Using a disguise as a bartender, he meets a young writer who tells him his unusual life story: He was an orphan girl and was selected as a young woman for a space program. But then he had an encounter that changed his life forever.
