A man is killed in a junkyard who was supposed to testify against a drug dealer. At the crime scene, a policeman insinuates to Captain Stottlemeyer that he had something going on with his wife. Since Stottlemeyer does indeed have marital problems, he lashes out at the policeman. Now Monk has to shadow the captain's wife while the captain must attend an anger management course.
