The film tells the true story of Mauritanian Mohamedou Salahi, who was arrested in his home country shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks and later taken to the Guantanamo camp. While military prosecutor Stuart Couch prepares an indictment, Nancy Hollander takes on Salahi's defense. Both must learn that much is kept secret.
