The lotto girl is killed outside the TV studio after the lottery numbers have been drawn. While Mr. Monk tries to solve the case, Natalie is approached by the show's producer to stand in for the dead woman at short notice. Natalie's appearance as the new lotto girl is a complete success, which makes Monk jealous, for whom she now has hardly any time left.
