Monk wants to buy the same shirts as always from his favorite men's outfitter, but they are flawed. At the shirt factory, he meets Mexican inspector Maria Ortiz, whose son is accused of murdering a model. The case seems clear-cut, but Monk investigates it and meets the arrogant fashion designer Julian Hodge.
