“The Golden Girls” is a sitcom about four older women who live together in a shared flat. Various socially critical topics such as homosexuality, AIDS and poverty are dealt with in a humorous way. There were a total of 7 seasons (1985-1992), but the successor “Golden Palace”, which had to make do without Beatrice Arthur as Dorothy, flopped.
