Young Wajma gets to know Mustafa, a waiter, in wintry Kabul. They meet secretly at his place and he claims to love her. But then Wajma gets pregnant and Mustafa doesn't want to know anything more about her. When Wajma's father finds out about the pregnancy, he is furious because she has dishonored the family by doing so, thus forfeiting her right to live.
