In 1926, the British magician Newt Scamander comes to New York. He has a suitcase full of magical creatures with him to study them. Soon, some of the animals escape him and cause chaos. This is noticed by Tina Goldstein, who works for an organization that makes sure ordinary people don't find out about the magicians' existence. But there is a much greater danger looming...
