The Proud Valley is a drama directed by Pen Tennyson. The movie follows a ship stocker, David, who goes to a small mining town in Wales hoping to find a job. Due to his good physique and great singing voice a choir director pursuades him to help the director win a singing competition. When David gets comfortable with his life in the town, the mine closes and leaves many unemployed and in crisis.
