The program is the German adaptation of a reality show from the UK. The program, known colloquially in Germany as "Das Dschungelcamp" (Jungle Camp), features a group of celebrities who have to undergo disgusting tests in the Australian jungle. The winner receives a cash prize and the title of "King of the Jungle".
