Ex-child star Christine Rapp from Mr. Monk's favourite childhood TV show is publishing her memoirs and he wants to be the first to get a copy. But just before the release there is an attack on her. While everyone soon realizes that this must have something to do with the scandalous sex revelations in the book, Monk doesn't want to know anything about it and is happy to play Rapp's bodyguard.
