Original title (English)

By default, the English title is set to be the same as the original title. However, if the English title differs from the original title, the English designation can be included under this point. To do this, simply select “Create new title in English”. A new dialog will open in which you can enter the English title.

Film type

  • Movie (Movie produced for cinema or TV)
  • Movie series (Sequences of several movies, usually with the same characters and the same production team. A prime example of a movie series is the science fiction epic Star Wars, which consists of several parts with the same characters and a similar production team.)
  • Series (Series usually consists of individual seasons, which in turn consist of several episodes. What a series has in common are the mostly fixed characters, the constant running time of a series and the self-contained story. An example of a very successful series is Les Simpson.) If you have set the film type to series, there are still subtypes to set, such as mini-series, general or season-based. You can/must only add seasons to the series with the “season-based” type; episodes are added directly to the other series types.
  • Season (contiguous block of episodes of a series that are shot in one go and at the end of which there is a break in shooting)
  • Episode (single episode of a series)

When creating a new film, please always ensure that individual films are assigned to the film series. The same applies, of course, to the individual episodes of a series.
