Natalie is running for the school board when a gunman shoots at her campaign office several times. No one is hurt and Natalie is determined to continue her campaign against everyone's advice. Her rival is another patient of Monk's therapist, of all people, and he seems to have a better connection to the doctor than the jealous Monk.
