When the women's book club is held at Marge's, it turns out that Brandine, the wife of hillbilly Cletus, is smarter than she pretends to be. When Cletus learns that he doesn't seem to know his wife at all, he throws her out the door, and Brandine has to stay with the Simpsons for the time being. Meanwhile, Lisa learns that there is a secret group of smart kids at her school.
